19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.

Thoughts to consider

· Do you still feel a stranger and alien? If so, let the truth of these verses draw you in. You are equal to all those amazing people you read about in the bible. As loved as John and Peter.

· Is Jesus your cornerstone? Is he the foundation you are building your life on?

· Pause for a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you if there is any part of your life you have not submitted to Jesus. Ask for forgiveness and determine to hand it over to his control.

· Do you belong to a church? Giving all your time, energy and talents to your church is the best way you can be built together with other Christians. How are you doing in this regard?

Prayer

Father thank you once again that I have been brought near to your family. I am a part of your household. Thank you for the foundation of the Apostles and prophets which is your word the bible. Help me to continue reading it every day and to grow through it as I put it into practice. Help me to play my part in your church. In Jesus name I ask these things. Amen
